Frequently Asked Questions
What is Salt Child Post?
Salt Child Post is a monthly correspondence subscription inspired by coastal folklore, drifting tides, weathered paper, and life in the fictional harbor town of Saltmere. Each dispatch is assembled by hand and includes original linocut artwork alongside seasonal paper goods and curated ephemera.
What is included in each monthly dispatch?
Each correspondence may include:
- A 5" x 7" linocut print
- A mini print
- A linocut sticker
- Seasonal paper goods
- Pressed botanicals
- Curated ephemera
- A letter from Saltmere
Contents may vary slightly from month to month depending on the season and theme.
What are linocut prints?
Each month's artwork begins as an original hand-carved linocut design. For consistency and accessibility, the artwork included in dispatches is professionally reproduced rather than individually hand-pulled.
When do subscriptions close?
Subscriptions for each month's correspondence close on the 21st at 11:59 PM.
For example, subscriptions for July correspondence close on June 21st.
When are dispatches shipped?
All correspondence leaves the post house on the 1st of each month.
Is shipping tracked?
No. Correspondence is mailed using standard stamped mail and does not include tracking.
This allows each dispatch to feel like traditional mail arriving from the harbor.
Do you ship internationally?
Please refer to the subscription listing for current shipping availability and destinations.
Can I purchase previous dispatches?
Yes. Previous correspondence may occasionally be available through the Archive while supplies last.
Archived dispatches are available in limited quantities and may not return once sold out.
What is a Tidekeeper?
Tidekeepers are members of the Salt Child Post community who receive monthly correspondence from Saltmere.
